MAP's capability in Type II or Type III Anodize is one of largest in Front Range area. Map is capable of anodizing aluminum up to eight feet in length and as added benefit dye black at this length.
Anodize basically is controlled corrosion of an aluminum surface to enhance properties which include protection against the elements and wear resistance. Rule of thumb when figuring dimensional change to an anodized part would be the 50/50 rule. Which means anodizing will use aluminum at surface to penetrate and grow cells equally.(this is not exact but close with most aluminum alloys)
A major benefit of anodizing is its ability to absorb dye coloring in cell matrix providing easy tool or part identification as well as cosmetically appealing product.
